Terms of Service

Spawnhall is a community for people who play games. These terms are the agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("Spawnhall", "we") for using the app and this site.
By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not, do not create one.
1. Who can use Spawnhall
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you may only use Spawnhall with a parent or guardian's permission, and they accept these terms with you.
Some communities on Spawnhall discuss games rated for adults. We do not verify age beyond what you tell us, and parents should decide accordingly.
You may not use Spawnhall if a previous account of yours was banned.
2. Your account
One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens under it, so keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think somebody else has it.
Your display name is unique and is how people know you. It can be changed once every six months. Names are not property: we may reclaim one that impersonates somebody, misrepresents a role such as "moderator", or is used to evade moderation.
Reputation is not property either. It reflects what other people thought of your posts, it has no cash value, it cannot be transferred, and we may correct it where it has been manipulated.
3. What you post
You keep ownership of everything you post. We do not claim it.
To run a community at all we need permission to store and show it, so you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display and distribute your content within Spawnhall, for as long as you keep it there and for a reasonable period afterwards for backups. That licence exists to display your posts to other members. It does not let us sell your content or license it on to anybody else.
You confirm you have the right to post what you post.
Deleting your account does not delete your posts. Threads, replies and messages stay, with your name removed, because removing them would remove other people's conversations too. This is set out in full in the Privacy Policy, and it is worth understanding before you post.
4. What you may not do
- Harass, threaten, stalk or incite violence against anybody.
- Post sexual content involving minors, or sexualise a minor in any way. This is the one rule with no appeal and no second chance, and we report it to the authorities.
- Post content that is illegal where you are, or that infringes somebody else's rights.
- Impersonate another person, a moderator, or Spawnhall itself.
- Share other people's private information without their consent.
- Distribute malware, cheats that harm other players, or links intended to deceive.
- Spam, mass-advertise, or run automated accounts.
- Attempt to break, overload, scrape or gain unauthorised access to Spawnhall, or work around moderation decisions with new accounts.
The community guidelines shown when you join carry the same weight as this list.
5. Moderation
We may remove content and mute, remove or ban accounts. We aim to explain why, and every sanction is recorded with a reason you can see.
You can appeal by emailing support@spawnhall.net. Appeals are read by somebody uninvolved in the original decision wherever possible.
We do not promise to review everything posted, or to catch everything that breaks these rules.
6. Voice rooms
Spawnhall does not record voice. There is no recording feature and no recording happens on our side, which also means we cannot review what was said in a voice room after the fact — a report about voice can only be acted on with other evidence.
Other people in a room could record it with software of their own. Treat a voice room as a public place.
7. Ending things
You can delete your account at any time from You → Account deletion. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, or where we are required to.
Sections 3, 8, 9 and 10 survive the ending of this agreement.
8. No warranty
Spawnhall is provided "as is". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that anything you post will be preserved. Back up anything you would be sorry to lose.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Spawnhall. Our total liability is limited to [AMOUNT — commonly the greater of amounts paid in the last 12 months, or a fixed sum such as US$100].
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE / COUNTRY], and disputes are subject to the courts of [VENUE].
[Decide with your lawyer whether to include an arbitration clause and class-action waiver. Both are common in US consumer terms, both are unenforceable or restricted in several other jurisdictions, and neither should be copied in without advice.]
11. If you installed from the App Store
These terms are between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for Spawnhall or for supporting it. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for any claim relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory non-compliance, or consumer protection claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
You confirm you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, the version number above changes and you will be asked to accept the new version before posting again. Continuing to use Spawnhall after that means you accept it.
